GIRLS’ HOOPS: Spring Grove rolls to non-league win over Cedar Cliff

Spring Grove threw a first-quarter shutout en route to a 54-25 non-league girls’ basketball victory over visiting Cedar Cliff on Thursday night.

The Rockets led 13-0 after the first eight minutes and never looked back.

Spring Grove had three players in double figures, led by Allie Garrett’s 12 points. Meaghan Martz and Shelbi Kinard each added 11. Martz made three 3-pointers.

Spring Grove improved to 10-11 overall. Cedar Cliff fell to 9-10.

OTHER GIRLS’ BASKETBALL

SUSQUEHANNA TWP. 50, SUSQUEHANNOCK 43: At Susquehanna Twp., the Warriors couldn’t hold on to a fourth-quarter lead in a non-league contest.

Susquehannock led 33-28 after three quarters, but was outscored 22-10 in the final period.

Makenzie Fancher paced Susquehannock with 13 points.

The Warriors fell to 13-8 overall. Susquehanna Twp. improved to 15-4.
