Central York grad breaks Millersville record

Central York High School graduate Aurielle Mosley become Millersville University’s all-time career rebounding leader in women’s basketball on Tuesday night.

Mosley collected 15 points and 10 rebounds in Millersville’s 62-42 win at Shippensburg in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Tournament quarterfinal game. Millersville had lost twice this season to Shippensburg.

Kristy Garner held the previous MU rebounding record with 1,005. Mosley now stands at 1,012. The Yorker also holds the program’s career blocks record and is fifth on the team’s all-time scoring list. In addition to her double-double, she also finished with three blocks.

The Marauders advanced to the PSAC semifinals and will play Gannon Friday night at Bloomsburg. The Golden Knights defeated the Marauders at home in overtime, 78-76, on Dec. 18.
