York Catholic’s magical boys’ lacrosse season ends

HUMMELSTOWN — Over the course of 19 games this season, the York Catholic boys’ lacrosse team managed to change the entire perception of the program.

The Fighting Irish proved that they were no longer a pushover in the York-Adams League. They went from finishing eighth in the league last year to winning the program’s first league title. They qualified for the District 3 tournament and even won a game, advancing to Thursday’s quarterfinal against Mid Penn power Cumberland Valley.
