SOCCER: Gettysburg nips Susquehannock in intense battle

GLEN ROCK — Ever since Gettysburg joined the York-Adams League in 2014, the boys’ soccer rivalry with Susquehannock has been intense.

It didn’t lessen any on Tuesday evening.

In game that totaled 31 fouls between the two clubs, it was clear there was respect, but little love for each other. For the first time all season, the York County Warriors found themselves trailing, courtesy of a Logan Carbaugh goal for the visitors just under 10 minutes into play.

With Coach Brett Maxwell’s team in the unusual position of playing catch-up, the emotions sometimes got a little heated.
