York Catholic football star charged with felonies

A star football player at York Catholic High School who is signed to play NCAA Division II college football in the fall has been charged with robbing and assaulting an acquaintance.

Jakkar Kinard, 18, of 943 Wellington St. in York City, remains free on $10,000 bail, charged with robbery, simple assault and harassment.

A graduating senior, Kinard was running back for the Fighting Irish for three years and also played defensive back.
