Parrini’s U.S. Open quest to continue at Maryland site

Central York standout golfer Joe Parrini will continue his quest to qualify for the U.S. Open on June 5 during a sectional qualifier at Woodmont Country Club in Rockville, Maryland.

Parrini, who will be a senior in the fall, will compete in 36 holes of stroke play during that day with a chance for a spot in the Open on the line. Players are ultimately vying for a berth during the 2017 Open June 15-18 at Erin Hills in Wisconsin.

The United States Open golf tournament is often referred to as the toughest test in the sport.
